1. What Are Cookies and Local Storage?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) by websites that you visit. They are widely used to make websites function efficiently, improve browsing experience, and provide essential security.

Modern web applications also utilize Browser Local Storage (`localStorage`), which allows data to be stored securely within your browser without sending it over the network on every server request. This provides faster loading times and ensures your shopping basket is saved while you browse our gift collections.

2. Our Privacy-First Technical Stance

Zero Tracking & Zero Marketing Cookies

GlowPrint Boutique Ltd believes in respectful, privacy-first commerce. We do not use any marketing, advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not deploy third-party trackers such as Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook) Pixels, TikTok Pixels, or Hotjar on our store.

Because we use only strictly necessary and functional technical storage required to operate the shop, under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR, a disruptive cookie consent pop-up banner is not legally required. However, we believe in full transparency regarding every technical mechanism used.
